Albany, NY Monday August 4, 2008: NorthEast Biogas, LLC (NEB) is pleased to announce that Thomas J. Lawson, P.E. has joined the company and accepted the position of VP- Engineering and Project Development effective immediately. Mr. Lawson will be based in Rochester, NY and will assume responsibility for the overall aspects of engineering, permitting, construction and development of projects within NEB. He will also be responsible for working with other members of the NEB management team in future planning, project selection diversification of energy services and the establishment of business alliances with compatible entities.
This position affords me the opportunity to leverage my 35 plus years of engineering experience, including many green projects, within a company that has at its core the mission to create new revenue streams from organic waste” said Mr. Lawson. “It is exciting to create sustainable projects that are in need by utilizing, in more integrated and creative ways, materials as assets that typically we as Americans have ignored”.
Mr. Lawson is a licensed engineer in New York, Michigan and Ohio. He has designed permitted, constructed and managed many dozens of civil and environmental projects for private, public and regulatory clients. Mr. Lawson’s experience includes projects within and outside the United States. He brings to NEB overall experience in the various environmental design areas of water/wastewater, air and solid waste including the design of digester gas and landfill gas recovery systems.
Mr. Lawson has previously held numerous management positions in the private and public sectors including Vice President, Director, Partner, Owner and Project Manager. This experience will be an asset as NEB continues to grow and diversify its project portfolio.
